Recording Videos
So you want to start to record videos. Not sure how to get the best quality and best video? Lots of girls make videos, but don't know or realize they aren't filming in HD. 1st method is you can have someone help you record through Skype and then edit and watermark for you. Second will be the following method on how to JUST record in full HD.
1. I am going to assume you have 1 of these 2 cameras. If you don't then you should buy 1 of them. Don't buy them from logitech directly. If you want to get them at a cheaper price buy them off Amazon or Best Buy. The C920 I have seen for about $70 and the C615 for $46.
2. Once you have one of these two cameras you will want to go to.
3. From there you can select your camera and go to the support page. Why? Download and install the logitech software. This shows it is for windows 10, but you can get it for older Windows and even for Macs.
4. Run the software and click on Quick Capture.
5. Make sure you are on Video. Click controls and check that the correct cam and mic are selected and that the resolution is on 1080p. Afterward click on webcam options.
6. Make sure RightLight isn't checked.
7. Once you have followed all these steps how you appear on your video feed is how the video will record and just press the record button and you will have a great FULL HD video.
Remember this doesn't include editing and watermarking all the videos. This was just a quick tutorial on recording.

5 Basic Things
5 Basic Things that sum up what every model needs to have on her check list.
1. Social Media Presence:
That is right ladies. Welcome to the 21st century. I don't mean you need to go crazy have Facebook Page, a Google + Account, a Twitter, a tumblr, etc etc etc. But you do need a Twitter and NEED to use it. Don't use it every so often use it all the time, several times a day.
2. Availability & Consistency:
Obviously you have a life of your own and don't need to be available 24/7, but you do need to respond to your fans. Availability doesn't mean you respond a week later it means you respond first thing when you can. Guys want the gf experience even if they cannot have you. They want to know that you are real and that you will reach out to them when they reach out to you.
Availability means also for you to be available to put the work into MFC and do things. There are plenty of successful MILFs on MFC, but still have time to make themselves available on MFC.
Consistency means you try to be on cam every time at the same time. Guys need to be able to predict when you are going to be on cam. This is a BIG deal. I helped grain that into 1 models mind and she throws that back at me when I lack it with things that I am helping her with.
3. A HD Webcam:
You would think this had been an obvious thing, but many models still don't spend the money doing this. Buy the Logitech C920, currently the best webcam on the market.
4. Things to Sell:
You should always have things to sell from videos to images to possibly panties (make sure you have a po box for that). Then when you have those things post the images on your profile in an organized way so guys know you are offering them.

There is a difference between an attractive woman and a HOT woman. A lot of women are very attractive, but only a select few are WOW RED HOT. Desire
Models on MFC that desire to be great can be great. Desiring to be great is completely different then wanting to be great. Models that want to be great can do pretty well, but the model that desires to be great is a different kind of model. I believe with desire comes the work ethic. Models that truly desire to do well on MFC will truly put in the work. I wrote a blog early Rules of 3. The other day I was talking to a model who decided to leave MFC cause it was too much work to do well.
A model that I have been helping for over 7 months is in the top 300. She knows how to put the work in and has seen the progress. She knows it is hard work, but she then sees the pay off. Last month she made pretty good bank.
Bottom line don't say you want to be great.... DESIRE to be great and remember that it can pay off big time in the end.

Silent But Deadly
One of the things I have been noticing a lot lately is how quiet some of the MFC models are. This is never a good thing. In radio they call that dead air. Guys want to be able to hear your voice when you speak. In fact there are many models that have their music so loud that no one can hear them speak. You as a model are there to entertain the people who you want to tip you not the other way around. Work on things like small talk. Be willing to be friendly and to converse with people. The only time you should be typing is when editing the topic, answering PMs and answering MFC mail. Otherwise there is never a time that you should have to type. Don't fall into being Silent But Deadly.

Highest Tip (HT)
Seen a lot of models as of late doing highest tip (HT) for a prize or Skype or whatever it is that they want to give away. Personally I think that you should do AHT or Accumulative Highest Tip. The reason being by doing a Single High Tip some people may wait to tip you to see what the high tip is. If a person is in a room where there are not many people and they only have 100 tokens to spend if they see a single high tip is 90 tokens then they may wait to the end to tip to make sure they are the highest. If doing AHT then people may feel more free or open to tipping small numbers to get the ball rolling so that they aren't the only one tipping for things. The math might be harder to do cause of that, but if you have a good room helper then they should be able to help you keep track of that.

First Week
Been a while since I last blogged.Wasn't sure what my next topic should be, but then I realized a lot of girls on MFC don't really think about how important their first week or even their first day is. The first week you start off as a new model. After that it gets really hard for you cause people's expectations of you become greater and people expect that you will be comfortable camming and that you will be ready to offer what other girls offer.
I have worked with several girls now including 2 models in the top 200 to help do their profiles and what not. I have even had one model who spent a month with me getting ready to cam before she even debuted. Day 1 she was a nervous wreck and couldn't even be on cam one on one, but over the month she was getting more and more ready for MFC. She has only been on MFC 3 times and her camscore is already 2500+.
Your first week will pretty much dictate where you will be in the pecking order of MFC. If you want to truly be a success on MFC you need to be ready for everything that comes your way. Need to have content ready and available. You first and foremost need to be very comfortable being on cam and having guys watch you. Make sure you plan that first week a head and even the first day. Remember you only have 1 day and 1 week to make a first impression. MFC can be a hard camming site as the competition is there, but you can also make a lot more on there if you do it right from the start.
Update: By doing videos and having profile done by day 1 it gives you the competitive edge since a lot of girls don't have this done on their first day.

Humble Model
Working with several models I have seen the ones that are the most successful are humble. Understandably, this is a job for most models and not just let me do something cause I am bored. That doesn't mean that you have to think you are God's gift to men and that you should be spoiled like crazy. You look at many of the top girls and most of them are pretty humble. Recognize that it takes others to get you to the top. You can say thank you for 1 token it is ok. 1 token may be 5 cents, but after a while it adds up.
Currently, I am working with a model and have done her MFC profile. She is so thrilled with it and wants to give me tokens cause she loves it so much. She has already given me ALL her videos and kik. I haven't asked her for anything token wise, but because she is so thankful she wants to do this.
Be appreciative to people that help you get where you are. There is the Chinese proverb, "Feed a man fish you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime." Personally I believe a lot of models forget this. I have helped several models and some appreciate everything I have done and continue to do even though I have never tipped them because what I have taught them helped them make more money then they were making before. Other models bitch and complain about it, and end up failing as a model. Learn to be humble and thankful to those who support you.

Maintaining Your Windows Computer
A friend of mine recently got a virus and I have never had one. What am I doing to maintain my computer and keep it safe?
Maintaining Your Windows Computer in order of running:
1. DiskCleanup - Run it check off ALL boxes and click ok. This will cleanup your computer of lots of junk files you don't need and save you lots of room.
2. Disk Defragment - This will help organize your computer.
3. AntiVirus - Run a FULL Scan
4. AntiMalware - This helps get rid of anything that the AntiVirus didn't catch.
5. DiskDefragment again
All these things should be done at least 1 time a week if not more, specially if you use your computer a lot.
Which AntiVirus? If you have Windows 8 you have Windows Defender already installed. Personally I use ONLY that one. Windows 7 and later you will need to download that. Best of all it is 100% FREE.
Norton and McAfee can cause their own issues. If you are making a virus you would go after the big guys like them. A model couldn't use Skype and I helped her uninstall both those programs from her computer and next thing you know, "Oh look Skype works."
Which AntiMalware? I use MalwareBytes. The paid version though. The money you save in AntiVirus this is a bargain. MalwareBytes will stop me from viewing websites that can be harmful to my computer.
When installing any program these day make sure that if the program wants to install a tab bar or change your homescreen that you uncheck those things. Sometimes it wants to install other programs too that have no purpose.
Mac based computers have their own versions of these now as well.

MFC Rules
As a MFC model your job is to know ALL the MFC Rules. Below are the rules MFC has posted for the models. After the rules you can see my opinion of them.

The following things, actual, implied or offered, are absolutely forbidden on this website at any time and for any reason, in both private and public chat.
Most of them constitute Zero-Tolerance violations which means you will be banned the first time it happens.
And even if your account is re-instated, you will LOSE THE TOKENS that you earned by breaking the rules so there is absolutely no point to breaking these rules.
The one rule that EVERYONE should know is the no men on cam. This is for sure a Zero-Tolerance meaning MFC will ban you for that. MFC's second rule says, "Sexual relations with men, even off-camera."This refers to having your cam open and the having sex with someone so members hear the audio.
I feel like some of the rules MFC has they kind of tack on with another violation to say it was in the rules so we can fine you even more. For example, there are plenty of models that do 420 (see my post earlier for my opinion in that) but MFC doesn't ban models or fine them for it, but if you did something else like menstrual bleeding which MFC is more likely to fine you for they could tack on 420 since illegal drugs is a rule and many states weed is still illegal.
Basic guideline for MFC rules is stay classy. If it is something nasty like vomiting or bathroom play or whatever then don't do it.
Update: MFC has been cracking down on public shows and will start banning and fining models so make sure you add that to the list of things NOT to do.

Better Safe Than Sued
Imagine you start selling a video for about $1 then you find out someone has gone and reused your video and sold it for $10. How do you feel? You would probably be pissed and want to go and sue the pants off that person. So why as models do a lot of girls do something similar to that?
What do I mean? Girls aren't reselling other models videos so don't misinterpret it as that. What is happening is that a lot of girls make videos and add music into their videos but never think about it. You are basically taking something that isn't yours and selling it. The recording artist could go and sue you for not paying a royalty.
Hence better safe than sued.

Rules of 3
What is the Rule of 3?
There are a few Rules of 3. First, the basic Rule of 3 is this, For every 3 hrs on cam you should be spending 1 hr off cam working on things to improve your camming experience. That can be spending 1 hr making a new video, photo sets, profile, etc... Why? The reason being that you want guys to know that you are putting an effort in off cam just as much as you are on cam. Lazy models don't succeed.
Second Rule of 3, when camming with a model that you have never done a show with before you should start advertising 3 weeks prior to to build up the hype. If you don't advertise and get guys excited about your camming with another model then they aren't going to really know that it is going to happen and your g/g show is most likely to flop. When going on cam with a model you have cammed with before give at least 3 days notice so people know to save up and to show up and spend money.

Respect
Respect is a 2 way street. Many models seem to forget this. They want money money money, but they don't respect the people that help them. I have helped several models with things and there are a number of models that I have helped that screw me over too.
If you want someone to respect you then you need to show them the same respect back. When someone goes out of their way to help you and you appreciate that person then you need to show that person sooner rather then later. I understand that MFC for many is a job, but when people help you then you need to take care of that person first NOT last.

Art of Seduction
When it comes to camming the most important part is the Art of Seduction. Many models try to jump straight to the cum show is this hardly works. MFC vs The Rest
Anyone who reads this blog knows that I am on MFC (MyFreeCams) and that I discuss it the most versus the other cam sites. Today's topic is all about that.
From a member perspective MyFreeCams really seems to be the best. Not because most models do things in public chat, but because of the quality of the models. MFC seems to really have the best girls. The lack of men on cam doesn't really matter. Also I believe it gives guys a better fantasy in general too.
I have been on other sites such as Jasmin and Chaturbate. Jasmin you have a lot more of the Russian women who don't speak any English and you can only be in one room at a time. Chaturbate is better then Jasmin, but again you can only be in one room at a time. So if there isn't much going on guys are more likely to leave. The benefit of MFC is the PM viewing. People can view multiple models and stay in one room if they just enjoy the convo.
Can you as a model make more money else where? Yes, but also MFC seems to have more money making opportunities then other sites. The fact that you can have a real profile, assuming you know coding, is a benefit and that you can really use it to help you make more money then other sites.

From a member perspective MyFreeCams really seems to be the best. Not because most models do things in public chat, but because of the quality of the models. MFC seems to really have the best girls. The lack of men on cam doesn't really matter. Also I believe it gives guys a better fantasy in general too.
I have been on other sites such as Jasmin and Chaturbate. Jasmin you have a lot more of the Russian women who don't speak any English and you can only be in one room at a time. Chaturbate is better then Jasmin, but again you can only be in one room at a time. So if there isn't much going on guys are more likely to leave. The benefit of MFC is the PM viewing. People can view multiple models and stay in one room if they just enjoy the convo.
Can you as a model make more money else where? Yes, but also MFC seems to have more money making opportunities then other sites. The fact that you can have a real profile, assuming you know coding, is a benefit and that you can really use it to help you make more money then other sites.

Videos
Videos may have killed the radio star, but it definitely propels the cam girl.
The BIG money maker for models away from doing public shows is selling Videos. When selling videos there may be a few questions that lots of girls have. Where do I sell them? Do people download them and keep them? Am I safe? How much?
Safety no matter what you do should always be a factor. When it comes to staying safe I have found the number one thing is to watermark them. Watermarking isn't a 100% full proof way of keeping videos safe, but it helps. A model that watermarks all her videos and pictures is more likely to find that her stuff isn't online, and if it is then it will be easier to take it down.
When making and selling videos I have found that the best place to keep them is on Google Drive. Google Drive starts you off with 15GB for free vs DropBox which gives you 2GB. From their you can purchase more room and make it a much wider range of things. For the most part guys get to download your videos and keep them for themselves. On Google Drive there is a feature that would allow you to keep them from downloading the videos. If doing that I would charge a lot less.
Keep in mind that you can sell videos in packages or individually. If you sell them individually you may find it harder to sell them versus the package deal. Some models will do crazy deals like 200 tokens for 30 videos. This might seem crazy, but it works. If you aren't paying anyone to record you then everything is pure profit for you.

Pricing and Time
When it comes to making money on MFC there are 2 key elements: Pricing and Time. Unfortunately, these 2 things can vary depending on the model and the time of the month.
When it comes to pricing it is important two remember to key elements: the amount you want to make and the amount the person is being charged. Remove the last zero and that equals the cost from the person. Take the cost of the person and cut it in half and that is your pay.
Example: 200 tokens for a friend add (which can be normal) would cost me $20 and you would get $10.
Doesn't that sound kind of steep? Lots of models don't think what they are asking for when they price things out. A model that is high ranked and has a high camscore can ask that and easily make it, but a model starting off or low camscore is going to find it hard to get that amount.
Ultimately, you need to keep in mind your camscore when pricing things out too. Personally, if you have a camscore under 1000 you should work on getting regulars and not worry about getting 200 tokens for a friend add. As a member I prefer that a model add friends based upon if they like talking to that person over cost.
Time again can be very tricky. There are times where MFC is busy and there are times when MFC is dead. A few days before the 15th and the 30th/31st can be dead as people are saving up for any discounts that may occur on the end of the pay period.
In the morning it can be very slow which is great for new models starting off and for veteran models with high camscores. Night time is the busiest time usually between 9pm EST and 2am EST. New models starting off can either benefit from this or may find that they are struggling to get people in and tipping.

Makeup
2 Posts in 1 day!!!
So a model recommended that I do a post about makeup. Being a guy what do I know about makeup? The answer is nothing, but what I do know is the opinion I have about makeup and wearing it on cam.
Whenever doing anything on cam remember to keep your best face on. This can also include the makeup you wear. Remember that MFC is a job and that if you were going to a job that you would want to look good. But also remember that less can be more. You don't want to look like Mimi from the Drew Carey Show or be hideous like Medusa turning guys into stone. Your job is to help entice guys into liking how you look and turning them on.

Getting drunk on cam is a BIG turn off. When most people get drunk they start to say stupid things and they even start to slur their words. As a model you should try and keep a positive demeanor at all times. Getting drunk takes away from that. Guys are less likely to tip or spend money on a drunk model then a sober model.
Pot and Cigarettes can also be a complete turn off depending on the people. Personally both of those things are a turn off to me. When I see a beautiful woman and then she starts smoking pot or cigarettes on cam I go to another model. It can be a disgusting habit.
Regardless if you are a smoker or drinker you need to remember that certain things will be turn ons and turn offs. You are better to do some of those things in your personal life then on cam. I am not the only person that feels that way. A lot of guys are turned off by those things which is why the top models don't generally ever do it on cam. Remember who your audience is and who it is you are trying to impress. If you want to make higher rankings then you need to stay away from those things on cam in general.

Dark
Ever notice that some cams look better then others?
Why am I writing about this? You would think this was something that was common sense, but some models don't know how to adjust that. Any basic rule to photography (or webcamming or this matter) is that your light source should be in front of you at all times. Why do you think cameras have a flash? So never sit in front of a window.
Something else to consider, what is behind you? If have a picture or any glass behind you that will reflect the light and cause things to appear darker or cause some kind of glare. Also if you are using an internal cam the low quality can cause cams to appear darker.
As models you should always be aware of your surrounding areas from how your bedroom looks to what you are wearing on camera.

CamScore
CamScore?!?! What is it? How is it determined? Is it really important?
There are different theories and feelings about the dreaded CamScore. CamScore is a way for MFC to ultimately keep track of who is making money and who is flopping. Yes there is a Miss MFC, but also CamScore may also help MFC determine your pay.
One theory that is out there about CamScore is that it is your average tokens per hour. So if on cam for 1 hr and you get 2000 tokens then your CamScore is 2000. If on for 30 mins your CamScore would be about 4000. Sounds good, right? Well, doesn't that mean your CamScore should reset every day? I like this theory, but you also need to think about it as an average. If one day you average 4000 tokens an hr and the next day 2000 tokens an hr your CamScore will be probably be closer to 3000.
Another theory is that there is a mathematical equation that determines the overall CamScore. Some people agree with it some don't. I personally am more partial to the average tokens per hr theory.

The default settings for MFC members is that models are shown by their CamScore. So the higher the CamScore the more likely you will be shown first compared to other models. Social Media
Social Media!!!
Twitter?!?!?! Kik?!?!? Snapchat?!?! MFC Profile?!?!
So many different avenues to use when it comes to the social media side of being a successful webcam girl. Some of it starts with have a great MFC profile. Does it really matter? YES it does. People want to know what you offer when it comes to your profile. The basic MFC profile is crap, but a great profile will help you make some bangin' cash. Just ask the models I have helped with theirs. (Will blog more about this in detail later.)
Twitter is a great avenue to be able to share thoughts and when you are going to be on and you can even share other details. Remember that there is a social side to MFC not just being naked and making yourself and guys cum. A model said to me once that MFC is strictly business and does not like getting personal. I understand where that comes from but that model is also stuck where she is cause MFC is also about letting SOME personal things in.
Kik is a great way for guys to be able to "text" you without giving out a personal phone number. You can either charge per month or forever. The hardest part about a monthly charge is you need to keep a detailed list of things.
Snapchat... If you don't know about twitter and snapchat you have probably been living under a rock. Snapchat can be very dangerous as people can save your snaps without you watermarking your stuff. (This I will discuss in detail more too.) Again you can charge per month or forever.
