Time isn't what you think

When you are brand new you are excited to start camming on MFC!!!  You want to get on a lot and start making the money!!! After 4 days you realize you lost your new status and the are like wtf I thought I got 7 days of being new?

Let's say that a model cams July 5th, July 8th, July 12th and July 23rd.  That is 4 days right not 7?!?

The question the model should ask is what time did I cam?  Did I cam at 11pm PST to after 12am PST?  If yes then here are the 7 days.

July 5th becomes July 5th and 6th = 2 days
July 8th becomes July 8th and 9th = 2 days
July 12th becomes July 12th and 13th = 2 days

So far that is 6 days.  July 23rd becomes the 7th day.

So if you want to prolong your new status as far as possible you need to cam before 12am PST or after 12 am PST to keep it 7 actual broadcast days.

Why You Might Be Losing Money And Not Even Know It...

You are a cam model of MFC and doing group shows and pvts and true pvts, yet  You Might Be Losing Money And Not Even Know It...

One of the reoccuring things that I have seen as of late is that there are models that don't understand certain things that are affecting them financially.

1.   Setting a goal and then going else where

A lot of models set a goal for their public chat and then leave in the middle to do group shows or a pvt of some sort.  This is bad for 2 reasons.

Mathematically:

Pretend that a model is asking 2400 tokens to get naked.

Group Show: 10 tokens a min per person with 3 minimum to start (total 30 tokens a min)

2400 divided by 30 = 80 minutes;  Assuming that no one enters the room or leaves that is how long a group show would have to last before you even think about getting topless.

Private Show: 60 tokens a min plus 10 tokens a min per spy

2400 divided by 60 = 40 minutes; Assuming that no one spies that is how long a private show would have to last before you even think about getting topless.

True Private: 80 tokens a minute

2400 divided by 80 = 30 minutes; That is how long a true private show would have to last before you even think about getting topless.

All these assume no one is tipping on top of what they are paying for a show.

Logically:  If you are asking for a countdown and you leave to go into a show you are screwing over the people that have contributed to the countdown and they won't want to come back and spend the money again.

2.   Whiteboard:

The problem with the whiteboard is that so many models put the attention on that rather then in the topic.  No one really reads the whiteboard.  Your topic should have the important elements to it NOT the whiteboard.  Most guys don't even read the whiteboard to look at your tip menu.  The other issue with the whiteboard is that it takes guys' eyes off of you.  You need to keep guys thinking with their penis and not with their brains.  The whiteboard keeps guys from looking at you and concentrating on what you want them to tip and gets guys to double guess if they should spend the money.

3.  Wasting a guy's money:

There are multiple ways that models start wastinga guys money, but the 2 that I find the most is Snapchat and Friend Adds.  If you are going to ask 600 tokens for Snapchat you should be using that daily and posting a lot of nudes.  At least 12 a day.

When you do Friend Adds it should take you 20-30+ minutes to reply to people on your friend list.  Your friends shouldn't have to send a message in public chat to check PMs.  Otherwise what was the point to spend the tokens if you aren't even going to reply.

Common Mistakes

I find there are a lot of common mistakes that both new and veteran models make.  Here are just a few of the mistakes I have found.

1. Not Holding to a Scheduled Appointment:

A lot of models make an appointment and then never show up for their appointment.  Life happens, but when it does you need to communicate with the person on the other side cause they are wasting time otherwise.  Have mutual respect for each other and show up to your scheduled appointments or communicate with people if things are going to change.

2.  Not Scheduling Skype Shows Before Camming:

When camming you should schedule all your Skype stuff before you cam.  Guys want to be able to spend time with you before you do your camming shows.  The worst thing you can do is cam for multiple hours then expect for guys to want to get a Skype show afterward.  A lot of guys don't want sloppy seconds.

3.  Leaving in the Middle of a Show:

If you are in the middle of a countdown another horrible offense is to leave in the middle of a show.  It is one thing if things are going really slow and you are leaving, but it is another to leave to do group shows and privates or even Skype.  Those shows are unpredictable when it comes to length.  Imagine if you are the guy that has tipped for stuff and the model left for pvt or something.  That guy is most likely not going to come back and spend money on you again.

4.  Pricing Pricing Pricing:

Pricing is an important part of the show.  A lot of models go with expensive pricing and expect guys are going to spend the money.  If you are looking for the big tipper then keep prices high, but if you want the average joe to spend money on you and a lot of guys to do that then you need to price accordingly.  I tell models all the time that they need to keep in mind their rank and their camscore when pricing things out.  The worst thing is when a guy feels like he has been ripped off.  If not going to use Snapchat that much then don't charge 500 tokens. Be fair and reasonable with your prices.

5. Trusting Wrong People

Often there are times that guys will help models and some guys are there to actually help and some don't actually want to help.  Look at a guys profile and don't listen to the roomers all the time.  This is a hard one cause sometimes roomers are started because models are jealous or competitors want people to think it is true and sometimes the roomers are real.  Talk to the person yourself and see for yourself if you can trust the person or if you would be trusting the wrong person.  Best thing you can do is go with your own instinct and not listen to others completely.  Take everything with a grain of salt.

Skype

Skype..... the Good.... the Bad..... the Truth about camming and Skype.

A lot of models ask me what is the difference between camming on MFC and doing Skype.  The major difference between doing MFC and Skype is guys know that models can see them and hear them on Skype if they want to be heard or seen.

The truth is most guys are hoping that when they buy a Skype show that the Skype show will go longer then what they paid for.

The Good:

As a model, you have the right and ability to charge whatever it is you want to charge for Skype.  Some guys will pay more than the 80 tokens they would get charged for a True Private and some guys won't.  Also, you can do certain things on Skype that maybe you don't want to do on MFC or are against MFC rules.  Have a fetish that MFC won't let you do? Then Skype is the way to go.  Want to have sex with a guy on cam?  Same thing.

There are guys that you will find don't want sexual encounters, but would rather spend the time talking to you and getting to know the real you.  Skype gives you the freedom to set the price you see fit that you think would be fair.  As I said some guys will pay more and some will pay less.

MFC true pvt for anal?  80 tokens a min.  Skype for anal?  100 tokens a minute.  Specialty shows are worth more so why not get paid for it.

The Bad:

So you go into Skype and now you have to keep track of how long the show is going.  That can be inconvenient at times.  Not attracted to the guy or not enjoying it on MFC you can end it without there being a major loss of tokens, but Skype you are stuck with what you see.

Some models have told me that guys can track your location through Skype.  There is always a risk with what you are doing.  If you do Amazon wishlist and someone buys from a third party they can get your address that way too.

Final Thought:

Models complain that they get scammed from guys cause of Skype, but the reason for that is that they are taking alternative payments rather than sticking with tokens.  Skype has its issue, but can also be rewarding and can help you gain a bigger following or fan base.  I have known models who have made bank doing Skype shows.

Make the choice you feel most comfortable with.  You can do Skype shows as a date raffle only, doesn't mean you are doing Skype shows all the time.  Do what you feel is right and is going to help you be safe and succeed.

Guilty by Proxy

There is a concept in the real world and in the cam world called Guilty by Proxy.  This is a concept a lot of cam models I have been talking to don't understand.  The concept is an easy one and so I am going to break it down.

If in a state where smoking weed is illegal and you are driving a car.  If a passenger in your car starts smoking weed and your car gets pulled over you will go to jail or face some kind of charge.  This is called Guilty by Proxy.  You may not have been the one smoking the weed, but you are guilty cause you are associated with that person.

Who you associate with both on cam and off cam matters.  If a model has a reputation of screwing guys over and taking random long breaks in the middle of a show and you cam with her your reputation will tarnish.  Who you cam with matters.

A lot of models will only cam with models that have similar camscores or someone they know that has the same abilities or mindset.  Don't associate with someone who has a bad reputation cause you are Guilty by Proxy then.  Sometimes this is tough cause that person could be your best friend but they could also tarnish what you are trying to do.

Why Don't My Videos Pop?!?

Why Don't My Videos Pop?!?  So you took my advice and started shooting at 4K or 1080P, but you feel like your videos still don't pop.  Why?

1) What fps are you shooting at?  FPS?  FPS is frames per second.  The higher the fps the better the quality.  The highest fps before getting into slow motion that you always want to shoot at is 60 fps.

2) Camera.  Are you using a webcam or are you using an actual camera that can shoot at 60 fps and always stay at 60 fps?  An actual camera will always be better vs a webcam.  The downside to this is that a high-quality camera will run you about $600 or more to do this.

3) Lighting.  Lighting is very important when it comes to making videos pop or in general cause you don't want them to appear dark.  ALL models should be using a lighting system already.  A great lighting system will run you about $50 or more.  When using a lighting system especially with videos you want to first be in a room where it is completely dark and you cannot see anything.  When the lighting is set up that becomes the only light source.

4) Post production.  This one is hard to explain, but there are plenty of YouTube bloggers that will talk about this and how to do it.  Personally, I use Adobe Premiere Pro CC and have used that in both my personal life and my MFC life.  You have to sign up for a year subscription and it will run you about $30 a month.

All these things combined should bring your videos to the next level.

Video Size

I see models not knowing the actual difference between 4K, FULL HD, and Semi-HD.

Cinema 4K = 4096 x 2160 (this may vary) = 4.27 times bigger than FULL HD

4K = 3840 x 2160 = 4 times bigger than FULL HD = 9 times bigger than Semi - HD

FULL HD (1080p) = 1920 x 1080 = 2.25 times bigger than Semi HD

Semi-HD = 1280 x 720

More pixels allow for more detail.  So when making videos you should keep in mind that videos should be produced at minimum FULL HD.  Why?  If you go to BestBuy or other electronic stores 4K TVs are becoming the norm.  Therefore the quality that one produces should be FULL HD at minimum since 4K is already 4 times bigger than FULL HD.

Recording 4K on Mac

If you read my past Blogs I have talked about recording videos using an iPhone.  Since then Logitech has come out with the Brio.

The Logitech Brio is a 4K webcam!!!  But if you have a Mac, how do you record 4K videos?

There are 2 important parts to this.  The very first thing is making sure you record the video correctly, but then also editing and producing those videos so you don't lose the quality.

Here it is...

Recording

1. Open Quicktime Player.

2.  File > New Movie Recording

3.  Next to the record button is a v if you click that you can make sure the microphone and the webcam that you want are selected.

4.  Then record.

Important Note: Make sure before you record that you have the right lighting.  The better the lighting the better the quality of the video should appear.  If you don't use the right lighting the video will look somewhat pixelated (what we call noise).

Post-Production:  Personally, I use Premiere Pro for all my post-production.  If you want to edit 4K video you need to make sure that your computer can handle doing it, but also that whatever software you use it should allow you to do 4K production.  Things to look at while doing post-production are color quality, sharpness, and other similar things you would check in photos.

Important Note: 4K video file sizes will be MUCH larger.  A video about 10 minutes done with color correction, etc etc in FULL HD can be 1.5GB where the same video in 4K can be 15GB.  Also be prepared to let your computer sit for a few hours to do the post-production export.

Time Management

I get asked all the time how I manage my work week where I am able to help models and yet still work etc.  The answer is simple, we put the effort in where we care most and where our loyalties lay.

Here is how I manage my time M-F.

Up at 4 am
MFC from 4-4:30 am
Shower and make lunch for the day 5 am
MFC from 5 - 5:30am
Get ready for work 5:30 am - 6am
Drive to Work 6 - 7am
Work 7 am - 3pm/4pm depending on day
Workout 3-4pm depending on day
Drive home 4-5:30pm cause of traffic
MFC 5:30pm - 6pm
Dinner 6pm - 6:30pm
MFC from 6:30pm - 8:30 (or 9:30pm)
Sleep from 9:30pm - 4 am

MFC time may be helping models, but may just be on MFC.  Total MFC time = 3 hrs a day.
Work with travel time = 11.5 hrs

MFC work week = (3 x 5) = 15 hrs
Work Week = 11.5 x 5 = 57.5 hrs

And yet I spend time during the week while I am at work sometimes answering models assistance.  Know where your loyalty lays.

The ABC of Camming!!!

Accessible:

If guys cannot access you both on cam and off cam, why are they going to want to spend time in your room and even spend their money on you?  Read my blog about the 9-5 model.

Beauty:

Let's face it, if guys don't find you attractive then they aren't going to spend the tokens on you.  This isn't that hard.  There are models that appeal to all different guys be it fat, thin, black, white, asian, hispanic, etc...

Communication:

If guys cannot talk to you, then why are they going to spend the money?  There are so many new models that spend time doing PMs they ignore their public chat.  Vise versa, they spend so much time in public chat they ignore their PMs.  Communication is key in any relationship be it dating or just friendship.  The same is true for webcamming.  You have to learn how to communicate and talk to people otherwise you will never succeed.  I have helped models with this and they start to improve this then all of a sudden they make more money.

Thursday, July 14, 2016

A question that seems to come up a lot is what am I doing wrong?  This is such a vague answer as each model is different.  So thought I'd start with some basics of things that I have found that models are doing wrong on MFC.

1.  Talk

Seems like a basic sense of things, but many models don't talk.  Guys want to hear your voice.  They want to know you are listening to them and that you will respond.

2.  Webcam

Not going to go into detail of this.  Read my blog about that.

3.  Color on cam

Also in the blog

4. 9-5 model

This seems to be a biggie.  What do I mean by 9-5 model.  A 9-5 model is the model that shows up and does the show then leaves.  She makes the video and pictures from time to time, but really doesn't talk to her fans outside of camming.  She might have twitter and snapchat, but doesn't really utilize it.  There are plenty of models that are 9-5 models that do well, but they could be killing it even more.

Guys want to get to know you girls.  Guys want the GF Experience.  If you think that you can be a 9-5 and that is all you will find that you will have a hard time succeeding.  This might be tough when having a bf, gf, hubby or fiance, but keep that in mind when you start camming.

5.  Low - Energy

Seems to be a reoccurring thing.  Guys like models that seem up beat and the life of the party.  Do you like watching a boring movie or an up beat high octane movie?

Update:

6. Are you a quality model or a quantity model?

Seems that a lot of models on MFC these days are quantity over quality.  The quantity model things that the more they cam the better they will do on MFC.  The quality model reflects on her shows and figures out what went wrong or what went right.  Spend the time improving your performance.  Don't go on and hope for the best.

The Royal Royce is a great car, but the reason it is such a great car is that everything is handcrafted and they take their time making them.  There aren't that many of those cars, but the ones that are made are made with the highest quality standards.  These high quality standards make the Royals Royce not only a great car, but an expensive car that is cherished by the people that can afford it.

7.  Follow through

If you say you are going to do something then DO IT!!!  Don't say you will contact someone in a few hrs and then never do it!!!  Follow through with what you say you are going to do!!!  Let your yes be yes and your no be no.

I have NEVER screwed over a model on MFC, but I have been screwed over many times.  The models that succeed know how to follow through with what they say they are going to do.

Even More About Vids

I have been having models ask me a lot about videos from pre-production to post-production.  I have done a few blogs about that, so I thought I'd talk more about it but from a bigger more professional view.

NOTE:  THIS METHOD IS NOT CHEAP AND  NOT FOR THE MODEL ON A BUDGET!!!  THIS WILL RUN YOU OVER $100.  Cheaper then spending over $1000 on a 4K recorder or HD recorder.

If you have either the iPhone 6 or 6s you have the ability to record really good videos.  iPhone 6s will allow ultra HD or 4k videos at 30 fps or 1080p HD at 60 fps.  Here are some steps you can take and some of the things you will need to do this.  ONLY record keeping the phone horizontal.

Update: You can now make 4K video using iPhone SE as well.

1.  iPhone Settings.

Go to your iPhone settings and scroll down to Photo & Camera.  Inside there make sure your video recording settings is set to 1080p at 60 fps or 4k on the 6s.

2.  Lighting

You will need great lighting for this.  If you have professional lighting already then that will work just fine, but if you don't then make sure you have 5000K LED light bulbs.  5000K LED light bulbs is like having natural lighting and is cheaper then buying the professional system.  You will need plenty of lighting for this.

3. Tripod

As a model this is something you should already have.  A tripod is  a must have for any model.

4.  iPhone tripod holder.

If you have a selfie stick the part on the stick is what I am talking about here.  This will allow you to hold your iPhone on the tripod horizontally.  When recording with an iPhone you will want to record with it horizontally ONLY.

5.  Microphone

This is where this will get super expensive.  The built in audio on the iPhone will not be good enough.  The cheapest and best option from what I have found is http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/924676-REG/vidpro_xm_55_electret_condenser_xlr.html
This mic from what I have seen is the best option out there at the cheapest cost.  Microphones can get higher in price and be even more expensive.  You will also then need a stand to hold this microphone.  As well as an adapter to connect XLR to iPhone.

6. Optical Lens

You can get a optical lens for your iPhone. This isn't necessary if you just move the iPhone closer to you.

These are all the things you will need to make a HD or UHD video using your iPhone.  After you have set up everything when you are recording the actual video itself you will want to make sure you are on exposure lock and be able to record without having to worry about your phone changing focus on you.  ALWAYS record keeping your phone horizontal.

What about post-production?  This is a lot harder to explain how to do since there is so much you can do.  If going to be recording in 4k you will need software that can really handle the post-production.  Your best overall software is Adobe Premiere Pro CC.  That will run you about $20 a month and you have to commit to 1 year.

More Video

Recently posted about how to record HD with the Logitech C920 and C615.  What if I don't have these webcams?  Is there a program that works for me?  Yes there is.  If you would like to know about it please contact me on twitter www.twitter.com/TheMathGuy81.  The reason I am not posting it on here is because the software also does screen shots and I don't want members doing that to cam girls.  But I will gladly help if you reach out to me.

Recording Videos

So you want to start to record videos.  Not sure how to get the best quality and best video?  Lots of girls make videos, but don't know or realize they aren't filming in HD.  1st method is you can have someone help you record through Skype and then edit and watermark for you.  Second will be the following method on how to JUST record in full HD.

1.   I am going to assume you have 1 of these 2 cameras.  If you don't then you should buy 1 of them.  Don't buy them from logitech directly.  If you want to get them at a cheaper price buy them off Amazon or Best Buy.  The C920 I have seen for about $70 and the C615 for $46.

2.  Once you have one of these two cameras you will want to go to.

3.  From there you can select your camera and go to the support page.  Why?  Download and install the logitech software.  This shows it is for windows 10, but you can get it for older Windows and even for Macs.

4.  Run the software and click on Quick Capture.

5.  Make sure you are on Video.  Click controls and check that the correct cam and mic are selected and that the resolution is on 1080p.  Afterward click on webcam options.

6.   Make sure RightLight isn't checked.

7.  Once you have followed all these steps how you appear on your video feed is how the video will record and just press the record button and you will have a great FULL HD video.

Remember this doesn't include editing and watermarking all the videos.  This was just a quick tutorial on recording.

5 Basic Things

5 Basic Things that sum up what every model needs to have on her check list.

1. Social Media Presence:

That is right ladies.  Welcome to the 21st century.  I don't mean you need to go crazy have Facebook Page, a Google + Account, a Twitter, a tumblr, etc etc etc.  But you do need a Twitter and NEED to use it.  Don't use it every so often use it all the time,  several times a day.

2. Availability & Consistency:

Obviously you have a life of your own and don't need to be available 24/7, but you do need to respond to your fans.  Availability doesn't mean you respond a week later it means you respond first thing when you can.  Guys want the gf experience even if they cannot have you.  They want to know that you are real and that you will reach out to them when they reach out to you.

Availability means also for you to be available to put the work into MFC and do things.  There are plenty of successful MILFs on MFC, but still have time to make themselves available on MFC.

Consistency means you try to be on cam every time at the same time.  Guys need to be able to predict when you are going to be on cam.  This is a BIG deal.  I helped grain that into 1 models mind and she throws that back at me when I lack it with things that I am helping her with.

3. A HD Webcam:

You would think this had been an obvious thing, but many models still don't spend the money doing this.  Buy the Logitech C920, currently the best webcam on the market.

4. Things to Sell:

You should always have things to sell from videos to images to possibly panties (make sure you have a po box for that).  Then when you have those things post the images on your profile in an organized way so guys know you are offering them.

5. Watch your prices:

A lot of times new girls will try and go crazy with prices.  5000 tokens for topless.  Where did you see that price?  Some of the top girls.  Well duh!!!  There is a difference between an attractive woman and a HOT woman.  A lot of women are very attractive, but only a select few are WOW RED HOT.  Unless you are that you cannot ask for 5000 tokens for topless right away.  MFC is work and you need to put the work in to get there.

Desire

Models on MFC that desire to be great can be great.  Desiring to be great is completely different then wanting to be great.  Models that want to be great can do pretty well, but the model that desires to be great is a different kind of model.  I believe with desire comes the work ethic.  Models that truly desire to do well on MFC will truly put in the work.  I wrote a blog early Rules of 3.  The other day I was talking to a model who decided to leave MFC cause it was too much work to do well.

A model that I have been helping for over 7 months is in the top 300.  She knows how to put the work in and has seen the progress.  She knows it is hard work, but she then sees the pay off.  Last month she made pretty good bank.

Bottom line don't say you want to be great.... DESIRE to be great and remember that it can  pay off big time in the end.

Silent But Deadly

One of the things I have been noticing a lot lately is how quiet some of the MFC models are.  This is never a good thing.  In radio they call that dead air.  Guys want to be able to hear your voice when you speak.  In fact there are many models that have their music so loud that no one can hear them speak.  You as a model are there to entertain the people who you want to tip you not the other way around.  Work on things like small talk.  Be willing to be friendly and to converse with people.  The only time you should be typing is when editing the topic, answering PMs and answering MFC mail.  Otherwise there is never a time that you should have to type.  Don't fall into being Silent But Deadly.

Highest Tip (HT)

Seen a lot of models as of late doing highest tip (HT) for a prize or Skype or whatever it is that they want to give away.  Personally I think that you should do AHT or Accumulative Highest Tip.  The reason being by doing a Single High Tip some people may wait to tip you to see what the high tip is.  If a person is in a room where there are not many people and they only have 100 tokens to spend if they see a single high tip is 90 tokens then they may wait to the end to tip to make sure they are the highest.  If doing AHT then people may feel more free or open to tipping small numbers to get the ball rolling so that they aren't the only one tipping for things.  The math might be harder to do cause of that, but if you have a good room helper then they should be able to help you keep track of that.

First Week

Been a while since I last blogged.Wasn't sure what my next topic should be, but then I realized a lot of girls on MFC don't really think about how important their first week or even their first day is.  The first week you start off as a new model.  After that it gets really hard for you cause people's expectations of you become greater and people expect that you will be comfortable camming and that you will be ready to offer what other girls offer.

I have worked with several girls now including 2 models in the top 200 to help do their profiles and what not.  I have even had one model who spent a month with me getting ready to cam before she even debuted.  Day 1 she was a nervous wreck and couldn't even be on cam one on one, but over the month she was getting more and more ready for MFC.  She has only been on MFC 3 times and her camscore is already 2500+.

Your first week will pretty much dictate where you will be in the pecking order of MFC.  If you want to truly be a success on MFC you need to be ready for everything that comes your way.  Need to have content ready and available.  You first and foremost need to be very comfortable being on cam and having guys watch you.  Make sure you plan that first week a head and even the first day.  Remember you only have 1 day and 1 week to make a first impression.  MFC can be a hard camming site as the competition is there, but you can also make a lot more on there if you do it right from the start.

Update: By doing videos and having profile done by day 1 it gives you the competitive edge since a lot of girls don't have this done on their first day.

Humble Model

Working with several models I have seen the ones that are the most successful are humble.  Understandably, this is a job for most models and not just let me do something cause I am bored.  That doesn't mean that you have to think you are God's gift to men and that you should be spoiled like crazy.  You look at many of the top girls and most of them are pretty humble.  Recognize that it takes others to get you to the top.  You can say thank you for 1 token it is ok.  1 token may be 5 cents, but after a while it adds up.

Currently, I am working with a model and have done her MFC profile.  She is so thrilled with it and wants to give me tokens cause she loves it so much.  She has already given me ALL her videos and kik.  I haven't asked her for anything token wise, but because she is so thankful she wants to do this.

Be appreciative to people that help you get where you are.  There is the Chinese proverb, "Feed a man fish you feed him for a day.  Teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime."  Personally I believe a lot of models forget this.  I have helped several models and some appreciate everything I have done and continue to do even though I have never tipped them because what I have taught them helped them make more money then they were making before.  Other models bitch and complain about it, and end up failing as a model.  Learn to be humble and thankful to those who support you.
